Rosensky \u00ae Honey is harvested from the hives of stingless bees at THE ORCHARD. Despite the name, Meliponini do have stingers, but they can’t be used for defence because they are too small. In fact, stingless bees are often only one centimetre in total body length, about a fifth the size of European honeybees. One advantage of their small stature is access to many species of small wildflower that their larger cousins cannot fit within. While their size also means Meliponini produce only small quantities, their honey is more nutritious and highly prized.<\/p>\n
